mha were employed by Education Authority NI in 2021 to provide a new roof to 1950’s Bruce Building within the Belfast Royal Academy site due to leakage and poor state of repair/end of life. The existing fall arrest system was replaced and existing gutters internally which required to be relocated externally for ease of maintenance. Extensive concrete spalling repairs were carried out in conjunction with our Structural Engineers. This scheme also included for upgrading of fume cupboards in chemistry labs and new ventilation system.
One of the critical items was adherence to programme ensuring the children were able to return to school before the new term commenced.
