mha were commissioned by the Southern Health & Social Care Trust in 2006 to provide a new build extension to existing Health Care facility in Keady.

The brief was to create a new daycare centre for the elderly which would link into the original existing Health Care facility. Given that the new extension would have a very large area, similar in size to the existing building, careful consideration was given to the placement of the addition. By locating the extension perpendicular to the Health Centre and along the northern boundary this allowed for maximum space utilisation of the remaining site while also making orientation easy for visitors and users.
